Colourful Coat of Arms Workshop – EY/KS1
An action packed adventure exploring historical coats of arms!

Meet the Staffordshire Lion and get hands on with historical objects, dressing up and crafts. Learn about symbolism and the importance of teamwork! Each child finishes the session by crafting a personalised coat of arms to call their own.
The workshop (including the craft) is one hour long. All materials except for colouring in pens/pencils are provided by the session leader. The session costs £50 for one classroom, and an extra £15 for each additional classroom (maximum of three sessions per day).
Curriculum links: castles, monarchy and family trees, with cross-curricular discussions of identity and self-expression.
Mary the Mole Goes Digging – EY/KS1
A joyful storytime introduction to the world beneath our feet.

This tactile, sensory adventure follows Mary the Mole, as she digs down to find natural treasures, human-made objects and the raw materials which have formed Staffordshire. Get your hands messy and handle real raw materials and historical objects!
The workshop (including the craft) is one hour long. All materials except for colouring in pens/pencils are provided by the session leader. The session costs £50 for one classroom, and an extra £15 for each additional classroom (maximum of three sessions per day).
Curriculum links: the natural world and the environment, chronological history, rocks and minerals with cross-curricular discussions of environmental responsibility and discovery.
Elves and the Shoemaker – EY/KS1
A joyous, interactive storytime based on the classic fairy tale, with a Staffordshire twist!

Enjoy the traditional fairy tale through handling historical objects, dressing up, roleplay and rhyme! Your class must help the elves craft fashionable footwear and learn about Stafford’s history of shoemaking. Includes tactile experiences, historical photos and an important lesson about helping friends.
The storytime concludes with a recap game and sensory craft. The workshop (including the craft) is one hour long. The session costs £50 for one classroom, and an extra £15 for each additional classroom (maximum of three sessions per day).

Discover Your Local Area Assembly – KS1/KS2
Time travel through the history of Stafford! (including the nasty bits)

Discover the weird, wonderful and gruesome events which make up Stafford’s storied past! An interactive, fast-paced, theatrical assembly with lots of audience participation. Dress up and handle artefacts to roll back 900 years of hyper local history.
The assembly is one hour long, and we provide all of the materials. Following the assembly each school receives a digital pack of resources to assist in their own explorations of Stafford town centre, which is included in the price.
This offer is priced at £60 per assembly. There is no limit to the number of participants, but please note the KS1 and KS2 assemblies have differing approaches to vocabulary and chronology exploration, tailored to the different age groups.
Beneath Our Feet Assembly – KS2
Dig down into Staffordshire’s grim and grimy industrial heritage!

Explore the raw materials which made this county a centre of global commerce and meet the people who turned the wheels of progress: for better and for worse! This action-packed assembly involves roleplay, dressing up and a chance to get hands on with real historical objects. Discover the grim realities of working life in historical Staffordshire and unionise against the nefarious Mr Moneybags!
The assembly is one hour long, and we provide all of the materials. Following the assembly each school receives a digital pack of resources to assist in their own explorations of Staffordshire industrial heritage, which is included in the price.
This offer is priced at £60 per assembly. There is no limit to the number of participants in each assembly.
