The Asylum Project A talk by Cathy Turner

An Introduction in Victorian Asylum in Stafford
Funded by Staffordshire Archives and Heritage, alongside partners the Wellcome Trust

The project focused on the patient experience as the volunteers recorded names from case records from the period 1818-1920 and sometimes photographs .The major research resource produced by the
project was a database of information extracted from the case notes that can be used for medical and social history research.

Cathy will talk about her input  in working on this project and her own
experience  of working in a Victorian Asylum .
