Display your results in different ways

There are buttons for Grid, Map, Images and Timeline on the top-left of the search results page.

The default is to show your results as a list, but these buttons help you to interrogate the results in different ways.

Grid: The results will be presented as blocks rather than a list.

Map: Results with geographical coordinates added to the catalogue record can be shown on a map. Currently, our catalogue entries don’t include coordinates but you can view a modern map and overlay an old OS map scanned by the National Library of Scotland.

Images: Results that have related images and thumbnails, such as the Kevis Collection, can be shown in a gallery.

Timeline: Results that have an associated date in the catalogue record can be shown on a timeline.
