- Description: This collection of the papers of the Whitgreave family, Catholics and Royalists, who lived at Moseley Old Hall until the 1820s when they moved to Moseley Court nearby, mainly consists of the correspondence, accounts and diaries of Francis, Thomas and George Whitgreave of Moseley, 1771-1838. These records relate to the family's personal, social and estate business with much farming information but occasionally refer to events of national and international significance, such as interest in the royal family and opinions on Napoleon Bonaparte. There are also estate deeds, accounts, surveys and parish papers relating to the Moseley area and genealogical papers relating to other families.
