- Description: With a pact that he should never disinherit him or his heir, but he, Ralph and his heir should hold honourably from Jordan himself and his heirs. This is the service which Jordan ought to do the Abbot and Church of Burton - Jordan has done homage to him and sworn fealty to the Abbot, church and monks, and he ought to keep them as his lords and serve them, with their brethern and friends, and pay two marks every year.
Witnesses: first the whole chapter, that is, Jordan the prior, Briennius sub-prior; Hurbert, Martin, Thomas and the rest of the monks. Then Henry filius Sawali; William filius Nigelli; Nicholas his brother; John de Wilintona; John filius Mab'; Geoffrey de Lega; Philip filius Walteri; William de Sanco Albano; Nicholas Cocus.
