- Administrative History: The civil parish was formed in 1885 by the amalgamation of the ciVil parishes of Alrewas, Fradley and Orgreave in the ancient parish of Alrewas, and the civil parish of Alrewas Hays, formerly extra-parochial. The parish council was established in 1894, and was abolished in ?1983, when it was amalgamated with Streethay Parish Council to form Alrewas with Streethay Parish Council. In 2004 it was called Alrewas & Fradley with Streethay Parish Council. Streethay and Fradley then separated from Alrewas 1 April 2009.
