- Administrative History: Blymhill or "Unnamed" Rural District Council was formed in 1894 from parts of West Cuttlestone, Shifnal Poor Law Union and Rural Sanitary District [source: Youngs Administrative Units of Great Britain]. It apparently only included Blymhill and Weston-under-Lizard, and appears to have been administered by Shifnal Rural District Council. It was abolished in 1934 and became part of Cannock Rural District Council (South Staffordshire District Council from 1974).
