Spotlight Talk: LGBT History Month
Mark LGBT History Month with us at the History Centre and learn more about the ‘Pride in Our Past’ project.
In this short talk we will explore two historical Staffordshire figures who defied societal norms, discuss the limitations and challenges faced when researching LGBT histories and share how to get involved with our archival legacy project.
We are very pleased to welcome local poet Dawn Jutton who will be reading Being Counted, her poem about experiencing Stafford’s first pride.
Our spotlight talks take place in the Staffordshire History Centre exhibition space – there is no need to book, just come along. These short 15 minute talks are designed to introduce visitors to highlights from our collections.
This is a free event but all donations support us to care for our collections.
