SUMMARY:Spotlight Talk: LGBT History Month
DESCRIPTION:Mark LGBT History Month with us at the History Centre and learn
  more about the 'Pride in Our Past' project.\n\nIn this short talk we will
  explore two historical Staffordshire figures who defied societal norms\, 
 discuss the limitations and challenges faced when researching LGBT histori
 es and share how to get involved with our archival legacy project.\n\nWe a
 re very pleased to welcome local poet Dawn Jutton who will be reading Bein
 g Counted\, her poem about experiencing Stafford's first pride.\n\nOur spo
 tlight talks take place in the Staffordshire History Centre exhibition spa
 ce - there is no need to book\, just come along. These short 15 minute tal
 ks are designed to introduce visitors to highlights from our collections.\
 n\nThis is a free event but all donations support us to care for our colle
 ctions.\n\n
