DESCRIPTION:We are pleased to welcome a guest speaker to our Spring talks p
 rogramme  - this special talk on Ukrainian history is part of our program
 me of community curated displays. \n\nA representative of "Ukrainian Frie
 nds\, Stafford" will talk about the story of Ukraine through the centuries
  and how historical puzzle pieces once again came together into Ilia Repin
 's infamous painting "Reply of the Zaporozhian Cossacks to the Sultan”\,
  that celebrates Ukrainian irreverence\, resistance to tyranny and rebell
 ious humour as a national character presented in a real historical docume
 nt centuries before current events.\n\nOur guest speaker will also touch o
 n the life of the new Ukrainian community in Staffordshire and on the loca
 l humanitarian effort.\n\nThis talk takes place at the Staffordshire histo
