Spotlight Talk: Moongazing in Staffordshire
Celebrate International Women’s Day and discover Staffordshire’s lunar legacy!
Explore archival documents relating to 19th century astronomer Mary Blagg: from her early life to her incredible research career. Whilst Blagg may have lived in Cheadle for her entire life, her studies took her to the stars as she mapped the moon and revolutionised our modern understanding of variable stars.
Our spotlight talks take place in the Staffordshire History Centre exhibition space – there is no need to book, just come along. These short 15 minute talks are designed to introduce visitors to highlights from our collections.
This is a free event but all donations support us to care for our collections.
